Today, the Ministry announced that general visitors and Resident social absences will be paused temporarily, due to a surge in COVID-19 cases [Omicron variant].

This will take affect on Thursday [December 30th]. They have not said how long these new rules will be in effect. Essential caregivers and essential visitors [seeing palliative Residents] will still be allowed into the building at this point.

Remember that the Send-A-Card feature has lots of seasonal greetings to choose from, including New Year's cards. We'd all prefer to be with our loved ones in person, but everyone's safety and comfort is the first priority.
