Originally from Corbeil, Dr. Gauthier completed her medical training at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine [NOSM]. She is now co-owner of the Northern Shores Medical Clinic [NSMC], where she manages her own bilingual family medicine practice.

With an unwavering commitment to medical education, she serves as an Assistant Professor at NOSM and is the Site Director for the NOSM Family Medicine Residency program in North Bay.

Dr. Gauthier holds hospital privileges at the North Bay Regional Health Centre [NBRHC], where she is a Hospitalist and Physician Lead of the Medical Assistance in Dying [MAiD] team. Beside her diverse professional responsibilities, Dr Gauthier is a devoted wife and mother. In her spare time, she recharges her batteries through creative outlets like painting and gardening, which allow her to strike a healthy work/life balance.

Dr. Danielle Nelson got her undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Immunology from Dalhousie University. She then attended Medical School at Queen’s, graduating in 2017. Dr. Nelson was introduced to the beautiful Nipissing District for her residency in Family Medicine. She completed a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2020.

After working in the North East as a contract physician, in both Emergency and Family Medicine, Dr. Nelson opened her own full scope family practice in North Bay in October 2022. She holds privileges at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, where she practices as a hospitalist physician and is a member of the Medical Assistance in Dying team.

On a personal note, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time outdoors with her spouse, son and dog. They enjoy camping, hiking and cross-country skiing.

Dr. Kara-Anne Green-Ward is a Family Physician based in North Bay.  She was born and raised just outside of Sudbury.   She loves living in North Bay and looks forward to experiencing all the outdoor adventures North Bay and the surrounding area has to offer for her, her husband, and their three sons.

Dr. Green-Ward joined the Powassan & Area Family Health Team where she has started a family practice. She also works at the Sexual Health Clinic at the North Bay and Parry Sound District Health Unit (NBPSDHU). She holds hospital privileges at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) where she does surgical assisting and locum hospitalist work.

She holds a position as a Clinical Lecturer at NOSM and enjoys working with medical students and residents in clinics and the hospital.
