A respiratory outbreak has been declared on the 3rd Floor
Documents
This is to let you know that we’ve had a Respiratory Outbreak on the 3rd Floor. Symptoms may include sore throat, cough, fever, chest congestion and nasal discharge.
Here’s the info to keep everyone safe:
Visiting a Resident in isolation:
If you're an Essential Caregiver [ECG] or support worker visiting a Resident with a confirmed or suspected infection, masks, gowns and eye protection are required. If possible, consider postponing your visit to these areas for the duration of the outbreak.
Visiting the third floor:
If you're visiting elsewhere on the third floor, surgical masks are required over your nose and mouth for the duration of your visit. That means no eating or drinking, even in a Resident's room.
General visitors:
General visitors are permitted. Follow PPE usage signs posted in each area. Hand sanitizing remains a vital defence against most illnesses. Please be diligent about keeping your hands clean. If you're unwell, don't visit.
Before coming, preview the self-screening guidelines and reconsider your plans if you have any symptoms.
