Today, the public health unit upgraded the outbreak on Spruce to facility-wide. 

Testing has identified the cause as rhinovirus/enterovirus. We're closely monitoring the situation and implementing enhanced Infection Prevention and Control [IPAC] measures to keep Residents, staff and visitors safe.

Visits are incredibly important to our Residents. The following precautions are in place for the duration of this outbreak:

• Mandatory Masking – Everyone entering Cassellholme must wear a properly fitted medical mask over their nose and mouth at all times. This includes in your Resident’s room.
• Visit Screening – Please postpone your visit if you're feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms.
• Hand Hygiene – Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands properly with soap and water.
