Cassellholme handbook
The respiratory rhinovirus detected on two units was upgraded to a facility-wide outbreak.

Symptoms include cough, runny nose, congestion, tiredness, fever and a sore throat. Test results are positive for rhinovirus, which causes the common cold. Swabs are negative for Covid-19.

For now, general visitors are allowed. PLEASE don't come into Cassellholme if you aren't feeling well. While this is not a Covid-19 related outbreak, it's still very important that everyone helps us limit the spread of this, or other viruses.

Continue to follow the guidelines:
  • HANDS – wash your hands well and regularly
  • PPE – use personal protective equipment [mask, goggles, gloves] as required
  • DISTANCE – visit Residents in their room [avoid communal areas and don't mingle with other Residents or their visitors] and leave the building after your visit
We all want every Resident to be as healthy as possible to enjoy these precious summer days. Let's work together to end this newest outbreak quickly.
