RSV Outbreak
Documents
In addition to the active cases of COVID, there are four diagnosed cases of Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, or RSV at Cassellholme.
Respiratory syncytial [sin-SISH-uhl] virus, or RSV, is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. Most people recover in a week or two, but RSV can be serious, especially for infants and older adults.
Currently there are three cases of RSV on Maple Street and one on Apple Street. This means Cassellholme is now in a facility-wide RSV outbreak. Outbreak measures are already in place due to the COVID outbreak, so our protocols don't change.
More than ever, we strongly urge everyone to be diligent and cautious.
