KEEPING RESIDENTS SAFE

Annual Resident flu shot day –
Tuesday October 17th, 2023

Covid-19 boosters are planned for the following week.

This fall, respiratory illnesses are expected to be circulating, including COVID-19, flu and respiratory syncytial virus [RSV]. Vaccination is the best way to remain protected against severe outcomes from these illnesses. We strongly encourage all of our staff, volunteers, families, friends and Residents to be vaccinated [as medically appropriate].

While we do everything we can to prevent an outbreak, infections can still happen. We ask that you cooperate fully with the recommendations of our medical staff. These recommendations reduce the chance of other Residents and/or staff contracting the illness. Residents may be asked to remain in their room while sick. Residents may not be re-admitted to the Home during an outbreak, upon discharge from hospital.

As appropriate, we will continue to instruct visitors on the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] and, of course, ask everyone to practice proper hand washing protocols while in our Home.
