Diligent hand hygiene is one of the most effective tools we can use to prevent these infections. Clean your hands:
- when arriving and before leaving
- before entering and after leaving a Resident's room
- before assisting your Resident with meals
- after going to the washroom or blowing your nose
At the bottom of our VISITING page, you can watch videos to remind yourself of proper hand washing etc.
General visitors are still allowed.
If you're coming into Cassellholme to visit, surgical masks are required over your nose and mouth for the full duration of your visit – including in the Resident's room. If you are feeling unwell, please postpone your visit.
Visiting a Resident in isolation:
If you're an essential caregiver [ECG] or support worker visiting a Resident with a confirmed or suspected infection, surgical masks, gowns and eye protection are required. Please follow the posted signage at the isolation set-up or check with staff. If possible, consider postponing your visit to these areas for the duration of the outbreak.
Do not enter if you're experiencing symptoms. If you do visit, be very diligent with your hand hygiene practices, masking and distance.
